Infant Jesus School is now what it is today because of the continued support of parents whose dream was to provide quality Christian education for their children.

The school started as Infant Jesus Grade School in 1988 with 67 pupils in preschool and primary grades.  In the second year of operation, the enrollment  increased which prompted the school to transfer from Pastrana Street to Roxas Avenue and then to Osmeña Avenue, Kalibo in the following years.

With the growing number of enrollees, the school moved on to complete grade school with the first 14 graduates in 1992. The elementary course gained recognition in 1993.

To accommodate the growing population, the school transferred to its acquired site in Mabini Extension in 1993. After several years of unstable administration, the new Board of Trustees took over the school in 1995 headed by the new President, Mrs. Merle L. Altas. To set direction for the school, the Board of Trustees requested the supervision of Jimmy Boy H. Estrellas starting 1996 until he eventually became Director in 1997.  With his Fifteen-Year Master Plan, he initiated improvements in the facilities, curriculum, student services, discipline, religious dimension and resource mobilization.

With the vision of complete basic Chrisitian education in the year 2000, the school was granted government permit to operate secondary course starting with First Year in 1996 and eventually granted government recognition in 1999, a year before the first graduates batch 2000.

In summer of 1998 and every summer thereafter,  the old buildings were converted for vertical expansion within a limited land  area of only 1,000 sqm.  In 2003, the school acquired the adjacent 500 sqm. lot.  Amidst financial crisis, with divine providence, another 1,000 sqm. was added to the school’s site in 2008.  All these paved the way for the school’s horizontal expansion in the next ten years.

Along with its ongoing physical development, scholarship and curriculum development program continued to attract quality students especially in the Special Science Class which started in 2006.  Presently, the school is even more committed to provide quality and effective education, responsive to the needs of the present time.
